Whisker Jam Prototype v.01
Hi! This is my 2nd jam but first time getting this far! I would love some feedback on this prototype. I'll be leaving this up for about 24 hours while I get to modelling assets.
Main mechanics for the jam:
Run, jump and collect objects. Fall off the platform, respawn and lose a life. Auto-restart once all lives are gone (for prototype only).
WASD to move around
SPACE to jump
**I haven't included the theme mechanic or limitation yet because I want to keep those a surprise. Also there's no WIN condition yet because I can't between making it an exploration & collection game or include enemies. What do you think??
Feedback I've received already:
-Jump needs to be smoothed out some.
-One of the gray platform collisions is weird at times.

Ah i see, this is the prototype of your game for whisker jam. It's fun and cool.
this game is cool, reminds me of the mario 64 bowser levels, but one quick thing, moving back and forward feels kinda off, maybe add a way to do depth perception a bit more? if not that's fine, its rlly cool so far. [=
Thanks! I am still working on the player's movement. Making it smoother because it feels like it's dragging a bit but I haven't figured it out yet. I don't think this will be the final camera angle either and I think that has something to do with it feeling off also
The depth perception idea is noted! It's a good idea :)
maybe some darker colors for the further blocks to the screen, and lighter colors for closer ones?
